AUTOEROTIKON is a tactile exploration of the self through personal experience of touch, boundaries, body autonomy and consent. In search of boundaries between the real and unreal body, I create intimate but exhibitionist spaces in which I present a fetishised version of the self. I am using my own body and its physical replicas, generated using 3D scanning technology, to explore themes of the relationality of the body and space and the sense of self in the world.

Through a series of exploratory 3D-printed objects of my scanned body, an interactive installation, video, photography, and performance, I aim to question the limits of the (un)real body. In intimate encounters with myself—gentle, meditative explorations of my body’s replicas, documented in video and photography—I delve into self-reflection and self-eroticism through touch, and explore my identity as a woman.

Replicas of my body made from different materials, from PLA filament, are tactile offerings to visitors to explore my body freely. Through this direct, tangible investigation of the (non)body of the other, AUTOEROTIKON is asking visitors to challenge existing and contemplate possible relationships they have with their own and the bodies of others.
